Singa Ship Family Center Summer Outing

What is summer without a dip in the pool.

SSMPI Family Center members and their families gathered as early as 5:00 a.m. for their summer get away in Calamba, Laguna. Their summer outing was held at Joan's II Resort, Pansol Calamba, Laguna. Vacationing crewmembers, wives and their children joined the fun and enjoyed the delicious foods prepared by the officers headed by Ms. Seny Tan and Angie Chong. Everybody had a great time while others enjoyed the pool even though it was raining. The rest enjoyed singing at the Karaoke.

Seabourn Completes Training Waves for 2009

In preparation for the launch of its newest ship “Odyssey” this coming June, 2009, Seabourn conducted three training waves for newly hired utilities. The three waves were conducted from February to April giving emphasis on galley, housekeeping and restaurant service. On hand to supervise the training was Mr. Guillaume Colas, Training Director of Seabourn. A total of 75 utilities attended the training.

Singa Ship Welcomes Emilio Freeman from residenSea

Mr. Emilio Freeman, residenSea’s Senior Vice President for Operations paid a visit to Singa Ship last April 24, 2009.

Mr. Freeman was given a tour of the Singa Ship office and he was impressed with the new setup. He also had the chance to see the training facilities and was amazed at the cruise simulated kitchen and the mock cabin.

His visit coincides with his announcement that The World will be in Manila in November and preparations are underway for the ship’s arrival.

Healthy Tips for Seafarers' Wives

Every month is full of activities for the wives of our seafarer. Last month, representative from FERN-C discussed on how to live the life we’ve always wanted. Live Longer and Feel Better as well as their husband onboard. It was almost three hours lecture regarding the Vitamin C and anti-oxidant that strengthens the Immune system of our body. Although it was a long lecture it was worth listening to it. The wives who attended the seminar also had the chance to become members and as members they can purchase at a discounted price.
